D1 Analytics: 2020 Top Freshmen Pitchers

After four weeks, the 2020 college baseball season and CWS have been cancelled. However, many players around the country were off to hot starts and today we recognize the freshmen pitchers who came of the gates spotting it up and getting ’em out.

To identify those with the best performances, we have broken down pitching into three categories: Zone Control, Pitch Ability, and Durability. Zone Control is how well the pitcher controls the strike zone with strikeouts, walks, wild pitches and hit by pitch.
