Elite Stanford Arm Making Strong Progress

Stanford, as usual, will enter the 2016 college baseball season with high hopes, but much of its success could hinge on the potential return of redshirt-sophomore righthander Cal Quantrill, who missed much of last season after having Tommy John surgery.

Though Quantrill certainly has a long road back to a full recovery and his availability for the Cardinals is very much undetermined, the elite righty and potential high first-round pick for the 2016 Major League Baseball draft tweeted earlier this week about his ahead-of-schedule progress following the mid-March elbow surgery.
