HOOVER, Ala. — Brandon Sproat has delivered when Florida has needed him the most this season.

Just a few weeks ago, the Gators were at somewhat of a crossroads on the mound when lefthanded starting pitcher Hunter Barco went down with a season-ending elbow injury.
