Coming off a 20-30 season from a year ago it would be easy to call Ohio State splitting the opening weekend four-game series against UConn a success. The Huskies, after all, were a 50-win team last year that advanced to super regional play and were one win away from a trip to Omaha.

Ohio’s State’s difficult season led to the firing of their previous head coach, Greg Beals, which opened the door – in a roundabout way – for long-time TCU associate head coach Bill Mosiello.
