Projections Primer: Making The Case

Analysis

The postseason picture is always changing, and with our latest projections coming Wednesday afternoon, it’s a great time to take an inside look at how last week’s national seeds fared, while also dissecting each team’s situation and looking at which direction they’re trending.

In addition to analysis on each top eight national seed, we also take an in-depth look at teams trending the right or wrong direction from an at-large bid standpoint.

Let’s get you primed for the latest projections.

FLORIDA

Record/RPI: 34-8, RPI: 2

RPI Metrics: SOS: 8, NSOS: 62 — vs. Top 25: 12-3, vs. Top 50: 16-5, vs. Top 100: 25-8

Trending:

Overview: Yeah,  the Gators aren’t going anywhere this week. Kevin O’Sullivan’s team continues to take care of business in SEC play. Sure, they dropped a midweek game to Jacksonville, but that was more of a boon for the Dolphins and not so much of a resume setback for the Gators. JU now has an RPI in the Top 20. UF has yet to lose a series this season and is a whopping four games up in the SEC standings over the second place teams. Just pure dominance from Sully’s club, and we don’t expect that to change anytime soon.
