Selection Day Quick Hitters

Today was somewhat of a breath of fresh air.

Sure, there was wildness throughout the day with the announcements that legendary coach Augie Garrido won’t be back at Texas, and Alabama coach Mitch Gaspard announcing his resignation.

But, from an NCAA postseason and Selection Committee standpoint, the marks from Monday are, for the most part, rather positive. All eight national seeds are very defendable, and though some had issues with Texas A&M getting the No. 4 national seed, I’m a strong believer you can rank those top four teams in any order and absolutely not be wrong.
