Rogers: LSU Surges; Tennessee, Texas, Baylor, UCLA Arms Shine
AnalysisHOUSTON — LSU’s offense can only be tamed for so long.
For six innings Friday afternoon at the Shriners College Classic, it seemed abundantly clear that the potent LSU offensive lineup was facing a massive upgrade both in team and opposing pitcher in Oklahoma and lefthanded pitcher Jake Bennett, respectively.
Bennett, a big-time prospect, was outstanding the first two weeks at Globe Life and again last weekend against Northwestern State. He also got off to a terrific start against LSU on Friday, throwing six shutout innings before he was lifted in the seventh inning.
