Cats make history, secure first-ever trip to Omaha
At The BallparkLEXINGTON, Ky. — Despite winning its second straight regional title in front of a home crowd last weekend, Kentucky didn’t dog pile, choosing instead to adopt a more business-like approach of shaking hands.
Getting back to a super regional was never the goal; these Wildcats were aiming for something bigger. Now that they’ve punched their ticket to Omaha with a dramatic win over Oregon State on Sunday night in front of yet another record crowd at Kentucky Proud Park, they celebrated the moment with a scrum.
