NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Two of college baseball’s best teams faced off Thursday night at Hawkins Field, and they delivered one of the season’s best games. There was plenty of anticipation for the showdown between Vanderbilt and Florida, which entered the season ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the D1Baseball Top 25 and entered Week 13 ranked No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. The series opener provided heightened intensity and a very high level of play from both sides. This was college baseball at its best.
