Freshman phenom Thach powers UNCW to big bounce back win
At The BallparkWILMINGTON, N.C. — Randy Hood felt like his UNC Wilmington club was stuck in a little funk. He thought his Seahawks looked a little flat for nine innings in Friday night’s 8-2 loss to Northeastern, and their malaise lingered through the first three innings Saturday, when some catcher-pitcher miscommunication and uncharacteristic sloppy defense put them in an early 1-0 hole.
