Although the Nick Mingione era Kentucky Wildcats won regionals in both 2017 and in 2023, they made it difficult on themselves both times, losing game two and needing to fight their way out of the loser’s bracket.
Following their win over the Fighting Illini on Saturday afternoon, however, the Wildcats are in the in the driver’s seat entering Sunday with Mason Moore (8-3, 5.40) ready to go and a pretty rested bullpen available behind him.
