LONG BEACH, Calif. — “The issue is playing as good and consistent baseball as we can. Tonight, we didn’t really do that,” Long Beach State head coach Troy Buckley said. “But when you’re not playing good and you can win a game, you’re going to take it. We’re not going to apologize for it. That’s for sure.”

Zack Rivera’s one-out single to center field in the ninth inning scored Joey Sanchez from second base to give the Dirtbags a 5-4 walk-off victory over UNLV Tuesday night at Blair Field.
