Duplantier Returns Strong In Rice Loss

HOUSTON — One odd thing about the college baseball season is that because it’s so short, an ill-timed injury can keep a player on the shelf for a very, very long time. For Rice righthander Jon Duplantier, nagging arm discomfort at the start of 2015 just never cleared up, and an injury that would’ve kept him on the shelf for a couple months in the pros wiped out his entire sophomore year.
