For at least a night, Arkansas and Texas A&M gave the country a taste of what a big-time pitcher’s duel in today’s college baseball landscape looks like.

For much of the season, the talk, and rightfully so, has been about the gaudy offensive numbers sweeping the nation. Multiple players hitting three home runs in a game throughout the year, some premier conferences have many of their better arms carrying ERAs approaching or above four, and some of the home run figures — both in total numbers and distance — are ridiculous enough to make most pitchers, except for perhaps Arkansas lefthanded[…]
