Darin Hendrickson gets 500th win at Saint Louis as Billikens continue strong season

MERION STATION, Pa. — Darin Hendrickson wasn’t even aware of his accomplishment. The head coach was informed he had collected his 500th win at Saint Louis only after the Billikens defeated Saint Joseph’s, 10-2, in the series opener at Smithson Field Friday afternoon.

“They told me that. I was laughing. When you’re old that’s what happens, I forget where I’m at some days,” Hendrickson joked. “Nah, I’m not that old. … I got started early. I’m lucky in this business. My path probably would not be possible today.”
