Wednesday ACC Notebook: On scary Virginia, Wake’s return to form, Georgia Tech’s resumé
At The BallparkCHARLOTTE, N.C. — The higher seeds continued to take care of business Wednesday at the ACC tournament, as Virginia run-ruled Georgia Tech 13-0, Wake Forest cruised past Pittsburgh 8-1, and NC State run-ruled Virginia Tech 19-9. That sets the stage for some juicy matchups over the next two days that will determine which teams advance to Saturday’s semifinals: Miami vs. Clemson on Thursday at 11 a.m., Duke vs. NC State on Thursday at 7 p.m., Florida State vs. Virginia on Friday at 11, and Wake Forest vs. North Carolina on Friday at 7.
