Wednesday ACC Notebook: Virginia, Clemson keep rolling; Pitt bats get hot

DURHAM, N.C. — Wednesday lacked drama at the ACC tournament, as two of the three games had no bearing on which teams would advance out of pool play, and all three games were lopsided and effectively sewn up in the middle innings. Here are some assorted musings after Pitt’s 9-5 win against Notre Dame, Virginia’s 15-1 win against Georgia Tech, and Clemson’s 14-5 win over Virginia Tech.
