Coach Buzz: Arizona State Fires Smith; Candidate Hot Board
Coaches CornerArizona State athletic director Ray Anderson has fired head coach Tracy Smith after seven seasons with the program, the school announced on Monday.
Smith’s dismissal comes on the heels of a disappointing finish to the 2021 campaign for the Sun Devils. The Devils failed to reach the Austin Regional title game and ended the season with a 33-22 overall record, including a 16-14 mark in Pac 12 play.
