OMAHA — As he milled around the infield at Charles Schwab Field about 20 minutes after the final out had been recorded, exchanging hugs and accepting congratulations with a giant smile plastered to his face, Ole Miss pitching coach Carl Lafferty was still in a fog. Then he uttered a sentiment surely shared by many of the 20,000-plus Ole Miss supporters crammed into the ballpark on Sunday afternoon.
