D1 Spotlight: Surging Louisiana Tech Eyeing Statement Weekend

You can hear the excitement in Lane Burroughs’ voice when he talks about the upcoming weekend.

Louisiana Tech has had what could be best described as a tumultuous last two years. Two seasons ago, the Bulldogs dealt with adversity when a massive tornado totaled its home ballpark. They were then forced to scramble to find where to play home games the rest of the season.

Then, last spring, the Bulldogs got off to an 11-6 start, only to have the season ended shorter than expected because of the coronavirus pandemic.
