DURHAM, N.C. — Duke coach Chris Pollard was feeling pretty good about his club after Friday’s series opener against Baylor, a game the Blue Devils won 20-1.

“The Friday game yesterday was as complete of a baseball game as we’ve played since I’ve been here at Duke,” Pollard said. “We were really, really good in all three phases. Jonathan Santucci was real electric to start the game, we had 21 hits, 11 of them were with two strikes. I really liked our competitive fight. I’m really excited about this club.”
