LBSU’s Sheaks Shakes Rough Start
ColumnsLONG BEACH, Calif. — Head coach Troy Buckley looked at righthander John Sheaks in the dugout at Arizona State after the Long Beach State starter had been pulled after allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks in four innings.
“I know what you’re trying to do, but what you’re trying to do, your intentions and your execution, they’re so far off,” Buckley recalled telling Sheaks. “We’ve got to change. Are you ready to do that?”
