On The Mark: A Solution to CancelGate

“I’m going to have to cancel this podcast because of the damage it will do to my RPI. So I’m going to only focus on weekend podcasts from now on.”
That topic keeps popping up in college baseball this week. Tuesday alone, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas State, and Virginia canceled games. The canceled opponents’ records were 19-29, 11-35, 17-33, 18-34, and 13-32.
The RPI is a formula based on winning percentages, and the selection committee has shown that RPI matters above all.
