Pac-12 Dispatches: USC, Arizona to meet in championship

USC’s head coach strolled to the mound in the third inning during the Trojans’ Pac-12 Tournament semifinal matchup against California. The Golden Bears already had a 2-0 lead and had the bases loaded with no outs for their No. 3 and No. 4 hitters, a pair of double-digit home run hitters with more than 100 combined RBIs this season.
Normally, when Stankiewicz crosses the chalk, it means there is about to be a pitching change. Pitching coach Seth Etherton makes the mound visits to chat. Stankiewicz brings in a new reliever.
