This past weekend I made it out to Pepperdine as the Waves hosted Cal State Fullerton in a weekend three game series. I jokingly wrote that this was a rematch of the 1992 national title game as the upstart Waves and blue blood Titans met in a winner-take-all game in Omaha. Back in those days the winners of the two brackets at the College World Series did not play a best-of-three because CBS had the rights to the baseball national title and wanted just one game.
