ColumnsIt was an interesting opening weekend for the occidental boys after the first few days of the season. Oregon State won some confidence points despite not quite playing top-notch competition. UCLA appears to be back on track, against what should be a pretty good Gonzaga team. Stanford struggled a bit more than we thought. And some Big West squads over-performed, giving hope that the conference may be emerging from a three or four-year funk.
