Rogers: Kent emerges to hero status as clutch Texas A&M heads to Omaha

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Kaeden Kent was just A&M’s next man up.

After losing superstar outfielder Braden Montgomery for the year due to an injury in the series opener against Oregon, the Aggies inserted Kent, a sophomore, into the lineup. Travis Chestnut shifted to center field, and Kent occupied second base.

In the postgame press conference after the opener, Texas A&M head coach Jim Schlossnagle discussed the loss of Montgomery and how the Aggies proceed moving forward.
