COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Rivalries in postseason games often tend to bring out the absolute best in most players. The combination sometimes serves as a great equalizer.

That was certainly the case Saturday night as heavily -favored Texas A&M had to scratch and claw its way to a 4-2 11-inning win over rival Texas to advance to the driver’s seat at the College Station Regional.

It didn’t take long for everyone, including Texas A&M head coach Jim Schlossnagle, to realize that the Aggies were in for a dogfight against the Longhorns.
