In a recent interview, NCAA President Mark Emmert reflected that it may be time for individual collegiate sports to govern themselves in a way that best suits their specific needs. Meaning that the NCAA’s long-standing model of “one size fits all” has grown obsolete. Can I get an amen?!

If Emmert is serious about this concept, and I hope that he is, then here is the next question: is college baseball even ready for this kind of autonomy?
