
Etheridge: Tennessee-LSU Series Opener Exceeds Hype
ColumnsBATON ROUGE, La – Every time we looked up, the radar gun was flashing 96 mph or better. LSU starter Paul Skenes did it at least 68 times. Tennessee starter Chase Dollander did it at least 50 times. Then relievers Garrett Edwards and Seth Halvorsen did it as well.
The 2022 SEC Pitcher of the Year winner Dollander dueled with the likely 2023 winner Skenes but the real winners Thursday evening were all of college baseball, not to mention the LSU record 13,068 in paid attendance. All on a work night shared with MLB opening day.
