A lot has been made the last few seasons where teams that have been on the bubble have purposely cancelled midweek games against weak opponents late in the season. And who can blame them? Look at Kansas State last season where they ended up in the mid-50s of the RPI and told me, “We should probably stop playing midweek games. We played St. Thomas at home and it killed us.”
