TUCSON, Ariz. — This is what Jay Johnson envisioned.

Johnson had Christmas-morning, presents-under-the-tree thoughts of a packed Hi-Corbett Field hosting postseason games for a championship-caliber program when he was hired by Arizona to take over for national-title-winning head coach Andy Lopez in 2015.
