Veteran Leadership Keeps NC State Afloat Through Adversity

DURHAM, N.C. — Coming off last year’s magical run to Omaha, NC State fans had sky-high hopes for the 2022 Wolfpack, even though seven of the nine everyday players from that year’s team departed after the College World Series. It was unrealistic to expect smooth sailing all season long, given the roster turnover and the number of freshmen taking on key roles, and this season has indeed been a grind for NC State, which has been in and out of the Top 25 as its fortunes have risen and fallen.
