The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, who have won five Atlantic Sun regular-season titles in 12 years of league membership, recently got a $1 million donation from former FGCU ace Chris Sale and his wife Brianne, and the program used that money for a new high-definition Daktronics videoboard.
Measuring 40 feet wide and 36 feet high, the scoreboard would have been ready by March 24 at FGCU’s on-campus Swanson Stadium in Fort Myers, Fla. But the Covid-19 pandemic took care of that, and Eagles fans will have to wait until 2021 to see[…]
