Fall ReportDURHAM, N.C. — The history of the D1Baseball Top 100 Programs rankings, which began in 2015, serve as an handy illustration of Duke baseball’s dramatic rise during the Chris Pollard era. Duke went from outside the top 100 in 2015, to No. 82 in 2017, to No. 39 in 2019 (the second-largest jump of any program that year), to No. 33 in our most recent update this fall. It’s an undeniable upward trajectory — which is why Duke’s 22-32 season in 2022 felt like an aberration.
