Kansas hasn’t reached the NCAA tournament since 2014, but that’s a streak that newly minted head coach Dan Fitzgerald hopes to snap sooner rather than later.

There’s no doubt that Fitzgerald and his coaching staff have their work cut out for them with the Jayhawks. Kansas has struggled the past couple of seasons, most recently going 20-35 overall with a 4-20 record in the Big 12 Conference. Expecting an overnight surge is a tall task, but a vast improvement?
