2023 Fall Report: Charlotte
Fall ReportCharlotte turned over a large portion of its roster after the 2023 season for all the right reasons.
It had two fourth-round picks in workhorse starter Wyatt Hudepohl and slugging outfielder Cam Fisher, a fifth-round pick in center fielder Jake Cunningham, and top relief arm Donye Evans went in the 16th round. Two other important bullpen pieces, Paxton Thompson and Hale Sims, signed as undrafted free agents.
The 49ers also lost a whole host of veterans to graduation, including infield stalwarts Jack Dragum and Austin Knight, and outfielder Blake Jackson got a grad transfer opportunity to prove himself in the SEC at[…]
