2023 Fall Report: USC Upstate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The recent history of Big South baseball has been a story of one team running the league before departing for theoretically greener pastures. 

For a long time, that team was Coastal Carolina, which won a national title under the Big South banner in 2016 just before leaving for the Sun Belt. Over the last several years, that team has been Campbell, which has made the last five NCAA Tournaments and has won the league’s automatic bid in four of those five instances. Now the Camels play in the Colonial Athletic Association.
