Fall ReportGAINESVILLE, Fla. — In the end Florida got where it wanted to go last spring. With wins in the Stillwater Regional and Clemson Super Regional, the Gators made it back to the College World Series in Omaha.
But boy did it take a circuitous route to get there. The offense was stagnant at times and for long stretches could be extremely Jac Caglianone-dependent. Pitching roles shifted fairly significantly from the beginning of the season to the end, with Caglianone in the rotation really the only throughline from February to June.
