After Nebraska made its second regional in three years but exited quietly with an 0-2 showing in Clemson, Cornhuskers coach Darin Erstad wasn’t satisfied with his team’s 37-win season and NCAA tournament appearance. Not even close.
“I told them, ‘We’re not good enough.’ That’s not the expectation here. We’re not here for a pat on the back — that’s not the standard that’s been set at Nebraska,” Erstad said. “We’ve been to a couple regionals the last few years, but we need to take that next step. Getting through the door is important, but that’s not good enough.”
