MOBILE, Ala. — When you talk baseball with Mark Calvi, it’s immediately apparent why his South Alabama program has been successful in recent years. The Jaguars have claimed at least a share of the Sun Belt regular-season title in three of the last four years, and made regionals in two of those seasons, after missing out on the NCAA tournament in each of the five years before he arrived in Mobile.
