2022 Fall Report: Mercer

The cliché used in mid-major college baseball is that it pays to get old and stay old. That’s how you win championships, get to the business end of a regional and take down competition from power conferences, which is almost always going to be more talented. 

The staying old part of the equation has always been easier said than done, but never more so than right now. It requires successful mid-major teams to fight fire with fire a bit to keep its experience level high.
