STILLWATER, Okla. — At 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, two hours before stretch time, Oklahoma State players were already streaming into O’Brate Stadium. Here’s shortstop Marcus Brown, alone in one of the hitting tunnels with a tee and a bucket of balls, drilling down on his swing mechanics. There’s Victor Mederos, who had pitched the previous day but still showed up hours early on a Saturday morning. As Cowboys coach Josh Holliday gave me the full tour of O’Brate, we ran into one player after another.
