COLLEGE PARK, Md. — After a few lean years, Virginia returned to national prominence emphatically last spring, digging out of a deep first-half hole in the ACC and catching fire down the stretch to earn a No. 3 seed in the Columbia Regional. And then the Cavaliers just kept rolling all the way to Omaha for the first time since their 2015 national title. Given the history of UVa. baseball under Brian O’Connor, it feels like the natural order has now been restored in Charlottesville.
