Florida returned to No. 1 in the D1Baseball Top 25 rankings after a two-week absence. The preseason No. 1 Gators have been ranked in the top three all season long, and they moved back into the top spot after a 3-1 week that included a series win against Georgia.
Miami relinquished the top spot after a 1-3 week that included a home series loss to Virginia. The Hurricanes fell to No. 3, while Texas A&M moved up one spot to No. 2.
Mississippi State returned to the top five after taking another huge road series win, this time at LSU. The Bulldogs now have series wins at Florida, Vanderbilt and LSU, along with a home series win against Ole Miss. MSU moved up two spots to No. 4, and Florida State also climbed two places to No. 5.
One of the biggest climbers this week was Coastal Carolina, which took advantage of a vacuum in the middle of the rankings by going 3-1 on the week to jump six spots to No. 15. Louisiana-Lafayette and Minnesota also moved up six spots apiece to Nos. 18 and 19, respectively.
There was major turnover at the back of the rankings, as five teams dropped out and five other teams moved in. North Carolina, Long Beach State, Kentucky, Clemson and California all fell out of the Top 25. They were replaced by Virginia, Tulane, Oklahoma State, Arizona and Southern Miss in the final five spots in the rankings.
D1Baseball editors Aaron Fitt and Kendall Rogers determined the Top 25 rankings. Records are through games of April 24 and do not include ties.
