Monte Lee was the most prominent name in the Clemson coaching search since the day the Tigers dismissed Jack Leggett. Over the last week, it became clear that Lee was the strong front-runner to take over as Clemson’s head coach, and on Thursday the Tigers made it official. The 38-year-old Lee, one of the most well-regarded young head coaches in college baseball, leaves College of Charleston, where he led the Cougars to four regionals in seven seasons and a super regional in 2014.
