D1Baseball Announces Partnership With AstroTurf

OMAHA — The college baseball landscape is always evolving and D1Baseball is eager to provide fans, coaches and players the best experience possible, while also aligning our product with other terrific brands within our industry. We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership with AstroTurf, the industry leader in baseball surfaces.

AstroTurf will have visibility all over D1Baseball over the next few months, from field showcases and other interactive features destined to grab fans’ and coaches’ attention, alike. They are also the title sponsor for a new award at D1Baseball – the weekly D1Baseball/AstroTurf National Player of the Week award, which launches next week after Opening Weekend.

“Partnering with the folks at is a no brainer. When you talk about a group that lives and breathes D1 Baseball at the level they do, it goes hand in hand with our mission as well,” AstroTurf’s National Director of Baseball, Aaron Klotz, said. “With AstroTurf being the “Brand” and the choice of Division 1 Baseball Programs with our Diamond Series Surfaces, we are very excited to expand and support their mission.”

AstroTurf has incredible reach in Division I Baseball. The company has constructed more than 60 fields in Division I with many more on the way. Just in the past two years, AstroTurf installed new surfaces for defending National Champion Vanderbilt and national runner-up Michigan. Other programs who installed AstroTurf surfaces include Pittsburg, Connecticut, Appalachian State, Evansville, Kentucky, St. John’s, Boston College, Incarnate Word, Bethune-Cookman, Virginia Tech and Oklahoma State installed a practice field using AT technology. AstroTurf’s portfolio also includes six Minor League Baseball clients and one at the Major League level.

“The passion that Aaron and AstroTurf have for Division I Baseball aligns with our approach and values as a company at D1Baseball,” D1Baseball managing editor and co-owner Kendall Rogers said. “The AstroTurf product is terrific and industry-leading, and their reach in our game only continues to grow. We’re excited to be aligned with them while we, too, continue to grow.”
