Player Losses Pile Up For Miami
Suspensions, injuries and a dismissal have depleted the depth of the roster for No. 6 Miami before the season has even begun.
On Tuesday, Miami coach Jim Morris told reporters that senior righthander Enrique Sosa is out indefinitely with a tear in his pitching shoulder. The senior started 17 games last year and posted a 4.35 ERA. He was not projected to return to the weekend rotation this year thanks to the improvement of sophomore Jesse Lepore and the addition of talented freshman Andrew Cabezas, but he is still a seasoned veteran, and his loss is a blow.
