WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The two Friday games at the Winston-Salem Regional played out similarly, as the higher seeded teams got quality starting pitching and then pulled away in the middle to late innings. In the opener, second-seeded Maryland got six strong innings from preseason All-American Jason Savacool and a big games from national RBI leader Nick Lorusso in a 7-3 win against third-seeded Northeastern. And in the nightcap, Seth Keener turned in a career outing for top-seeded Wake Forest, which got two homers and six RBIs from Justin Johnson en route to a 12-0 blowout of George Mason.
