WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Brock Wilken looked like he was up to no good.

A thunderstorm had graciously waited to roll into Winston-Salem until after Wake Forest had put the finishing touches on a 22-5 super regional win against Alabama, propelling the Demon Deacons to the College World Series for the first time since 1955. The storm even had the decency to stay away until after the Deacons had finished celebrating their triumph on the field with legions of alumni, supporters and family members.
